As a woodworker, once in awhile you come across a truly special wood specimen, and this pen comes from that stock. It is hand turned Box Elder Burl, and assembled with a high end fountain pen kit. The finish is tung oil, with 6 coats of buffed lacquer to produce a glossy finish without being too glossy. It would make a beautiful gift, or be of great service to anyone who appreciates a high end fountain pen.
