These pens are made from oars salvaged from a ship's lifeboat (oars are shown in the photos). Each one is hand turned, and polished to perfection, and I'm happy to personalize your pen with name and sobriety date. In several places within AA literature and when speaking, our co-founder Bill Wilson said words to the effect of, "To be successful in Alcoholics Anonymous, we must cling to it with the same desperation as a drowning person clinging to a life raft." All of us in recovery have indeed been salvaged and all of us have needed the lifeboat of recovery.
The pens are made using "Gatsby" style hardware, and use Parker style refills, which are easy to find from any place that sells office supplies. Each one ships in the gift box shown in the photos, and with a letter from me certifying the source of the wood. They will make the perfect gift to show support to someone you love in recovery, and will also make great gifts between sponsors and sponsees.

Brad does the most beautiful work! My niece and her boyfriend are in recovery and I have purchased a couple of things from Brad and will continue to keep an eye on his inventory!!

This pen is so beautiful I’m sure it will mean a lot to my husband who is very proud of his sobriety. I actually indicated the wrong date in the personalization of my order and when I contacted the shop before anything was started I think it was the next day or later the same day They immediately changed it and it came in perfectly
